CAPricious CAPtion 3.0

Hey all of you fun CAP people, Jon, here! I'm your new CAP Secretary. Now, I know what you're thinking; yes, this is a job normally held by a woman. So, in order to feel more masculine, I will hence forth be referring to my position as the CAP Chronicler. Or the CAP Keeper of the Word. Or the CAP President.
I wanted to go with CAP Freshmen Girl Orientation Coordinator but the girlfriend nixxed that so, c'est la vie.

Anyway, for those of you still reading, while it may be early June, the gears of the CAP machine continue to grind away with some pretty exciting announcements.

1. Comic Relief XX
2. Fall Play Submissions
3. T-Shirt Slogan Subissions

1. Comic Relief XX
First off, we're pleased to announce that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the first CAP Comic Relief. For those of you not in the know, Comic Relief is our annual charity sketch comedy show held at the beginning of the fall season. It features our largest cast of the year and is a great way for people to get involved with CAP for their first or 300th time.
The head directors of Comic Relief XX will be Jeff Kowalski, Darya Kvitnitskaya, and Judd Madarang and they are looking to you, the CAP faithful, to join them as CR assistant directors! While head directors choose the sketches and run tech rehearsals, it's the job of the assistant directors to actually cast the show and direct the individual sketches. The only requirement is that you have appeared in a Comic Relief before. As an added bonus, this is the best way to set yourself up to be a director of a main stage show later down the road.
Send applications (name, number, experience, etc.) to Jeff.Kowalski@collegeaveplayers.com

2. Fall Play Submissions
Speaking of directing a main stage show, we are still accepting submissions for scripts and directors for our fall season. While the initial due date has passed, we will not be making our final decisions for a couple of weeks, so you can still get in if you e-mail our Literary Adviser Adam ASAP.
You can apply to be a director, submit a play, or submit a play with yourself attached as director. The guidelines can be found here: http://www.collegeaveplayers.com/guidelines.php
E-mail all submissions to Adam.Holsten@collegeaveplayers.com

3. T-Shirt Slogan Submissions
It's time again to choose a slogan for this year's CAP t-shirt. Past slogans have included "Putting the CAP in 'Incapable'" and "CAP: We want you in us".
Post your submissions on the CAP Message Board at http://messageboard.collegeaveplayers.com/index.php?topic=1594.0

Well, that's it for now. Hope you're all having a great summer and we'll see you soon!
